The tour includes a driver/guide to provide basic sightseeing information throughout Rome and to the Vatican. An option is available to add a personal guide to accompany you inside the Vatican.

Purchasing the Add-On for VIP Vatican Tickets will also help you avoid ticket lines at the Vatican Museums. A ticket is required for entrance into the museums, gardens, galleries and the Sistine Chapel.

Purchasing the Add-On for Personal Guide will provide 4 hours of customized knowledgeable touring inside the Vatican. No guide is provided for any interior visit unless this option is purchased.

This tour does not operate on Sundays or on Christmas Day.

Rome Sightseeing

If you purchase the add-on for Vatican Tickets and wish to spend virtually all of your 4 hours at the Vatican, you will likely have very limited options for other sightseeing of Rome during this tour. However, if you wish to plan your 4 hour tour to specifically include other key highlights around Rome, your driver/guide will be happy to provide the transportation and guide services en route to the locations you wish to visit. Stops may be made for photo opportunities at monuments and other sightseeing locations throughout Rome. To maximize your sightseeing, we suggest bringing along a list of specific things you wish to see, but you can simply discuss such options with your driver/guide on the day of the tour.

Add-On Options:

VIP Vatican Tickets - Entrance tickets are required to tour inside the Vatican. Purchasing this Add-On option allows you to maximize your time at the Vatican by avoiding ticket lines. The Add-On tickets are available PER-PERSON. This ticket allows your tour to include the Candelabra Gallery, the Sistine Chapel adorned with Michelangelo's famed masterpieces, the Tapestry Gallery, Bernini's Royal Staircase, the Gallery of Maps, the breathtaking frescoes within the Rooms of Raffaello, as well as numerous masterpieces and magnificent art collections, all housed in the most spectacular of settings.

Personal Guide - Your driver/guide will not accompany you on an interior tour at the Vatican. Purchasing the Add-On for a Personal Guide will provide you with a knowledgeable and professional guide for your tour inside the Vatican. The Vatican admission ticket for the guide is included in this add-on.

English Speaking Driver/Guide

An English Speaking Driver/Guide is very experienced and used to hosting foreign tourists. They are all extremely familiar with the sights you will undoubtedly want to visit. If you have made a list of "must-sees" for any city you'll want to visit, these driver/guides will gladly take you wherever you may want to go. If by chance, however, you did not have the time or inclination to make specific plans before traveling, the driver will design an itinerary that will include all the highlights. English Speaking Driver/Guides will offer only very basic information about the sights you will see and they cannot accompany you away from the vehicle.

DRESS CODE:

~ Please be aware that there are monitors outside St. Peter's, which has a very strict dress code: no skirts above the knee, no shorts, no bare shoulders (i.e., tank tops or sleeveless blouses), and you must wear shoes. You will not be permitted inside the Basilica unless you are dressed appropriately. Slacks and jeans are permitted. People who monitor visitors in churches have the right to refuse entrance if in their opinion the visitor is dressed in an inappropriate fashion to enter.
